A large-scale wine storage and processing facility required a comprehensive automation and dispatching system to manage its technological and safety infrastructure. The complex includes several buildings divided into isolated sections, where reliable control of storage and environmental conditions is essential.
The selection of Mitsubishi Electric equipment was driven by its proven reliability, simplicity of integration, and flexibility in programming — enabling reduced engineering time, faster commissioning, and lower total project costs.
The automation system provides centralized control of wine intake and discharge operations, as well as continuous monitoring of ventilation, fire alarm, and gas detection systems within the storage areas.
A dispatching control room was created to supervise and manage all technological subsystems. The project included the development of detailed design documentation, manufacturing of control panels, software engineering, and complete on-site commissioning.
The control structure includes three local control panels and one dispatch panel, all based on Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC FX3U controllers. Communication between controllers and the operator interface is implemented via Ethernet.
The implemented system made it possible to organize efficient dispatching and ensure the safe storage and processing of wine materials and other alcohol-based products within a unified automation platform.
